Why is digital citizenship so important?
1. Students are using technology everyday, even if it is not implemented in their school, so they must learn about potential consequences.
2. Students must learn how to create a positive online profile to ensure success later in life when applying for college and jobs. 3. Ensure students understand that cyberbullying has the same consequences as face to face bullying. 4. Students must know how to properly research information by being able to point out unauthentic information and cite information correctly to avoid plagiarism. (Bharti, 2014) |
